Mobile Team

Who is in the team?

24 young volunteers, members of the national Mobile Team, have joined forces in order to improve the socio-economical situation of the young people from Moldova, offering them vast information about their right to decent work.

What is the mission and vision of the mobile team?

To inform the youngsters from the Republic of Moldova about their socio-economical rights, to promote new models of approaching the "decent work" subject, this knowledge offering security to the youngsters as future employees.

The members of the mobile team promote and support voluntarism and civic activism, which ensures personal development, increasing self-confidence, and develop leader skills among youth. It is certain that voluntarism is a creator of human and social capital. This is the way towards integration and employment, a key-factor for improving the social cohesion. Above all, voluntarism transforms into action the fundamental values of justice, solidarity, inclusion and active citizenship, on which Europe is founded.

How and where do they activate?

The members of the mobile team have approved an Internal Regulation, in order to arrange their energy and actions, to be more efficient among their peers and more responsible towards what they're doing. Also, there is a set of technical tools (plans/monthly reports, questionnaires/focus-groups) which help each of the team members asses their own efficiency within the team and the necessity to develop their competencies in specific fields.

In order to maintain the high level of knowledge and abilities, within the project there is a Continuous training program. Once per two months all the members of the mobile team participate at informative workshops on different subjects: communication, non-formal education, lobby and active advocacy, planning and evaluation, etc.

The principle of the mobile team's activity is equal to equal education, by organizing different non-formal activities for their peers. All the activities are well structured and planned, with learning objectives, which develop skills and change attitudes among youth.

The activities of the mobile team members are organized in lyceums and gymnasiums, local NGOs, culture homes, centers for youth and summer camps in the 4 pilot regions of the project - Ungheni, Causeni, Falesti and Calarasi.

Why do they act together?

• For promoting the socio-economical aspect of the human rights, thus contributing to the socio-economical development of the country;
• For persuading the youth to know their socio-economical rights and explore their potential to give arguments regarding their position in relation to employment opportunities towards business agents;
• For developing their skills in the employment field, thus responding to the challenges related to unemployment among youth;
• Because they are convinced that the involvement of youngsters in volunteering projects and non-formal education responds to some of the current challenges in regard to inclusion in the labor market and developing of active citizens, like: weak correlation between the formal educational system with practical experience; lack of contact between youngsters and employers; insufficient use of the entrepreneurial potential of youth; weak involvement in solving problems at local level, youngsters being characterized as having a high degree of social apathy, lack of trust in the state structures, etc.
