Who we are

The Foundation CNV Internationaal (part of CNV, Dutch Trade Union), the “Faclia” Public Association for Children and Youth and the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) are the three public organizations that care about the youth in Moldova and want to make a change.

Therefore, having the financial support of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova (DEC), Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) we decided to join hands and efforts in the project focussing on youth called: "Decent work for young people - Improving the social-economic situation of the young people in Moldova by empowering the youth and the civil society".

A project Steering Committee was established in order to monitor the progress of, and provide overall guidance to, the project. The Steering Committee is composed of representatives of the project partners and other social economic stakeholders such as ministries, international organizations, youth organizations etc.

Project Goal

Project goal is to contribute to the empowerment of young people in Moldova so that they can improve their social and economic situation, but also to have the civil society increasingly support their social-economic rights.

Project objectives

  • Civil society and social-economic actors promote social-economic rights for young people
  • Young people can more easily find decent work
  • Young people are motivated and able to represent themselves, and to actively participate, in Moldovan society

Whom we target

  • Young people, including those with special needs, aged 16-30 years, from the 4 target regions of the project;
  • Social-economic actors and civil society organizations from the 4 target regions of the project.

How we act

A wide range of activities will be organized for both target groups, in order to achieve the following results:

Result 1

Social-economic actors and civil society organisations have more incentive and increased capacities for promoting social and economic rights and decent work on local and national level (specifically for young people).
