Youngsters instructed as trainers in the Decent Work field
- Created on 27 January 2014
New members of the mobile team of volunteers, young people from 4 regions of the country, including the ones from the left bank of the Dniester river, were familiarized with the concept of decent work, social dialogue and social-economic rights in the frame of a training conducted in Chisinau in the period of 17-19 February of this year. The training activities took place within the „Decent work for young people – improving the social-economic situation of the young people from Moldova by empowering the youth and the civil society” project, implemented by the ”Faclia” Public Association for Children and Youth in partnership with CNV International Foundation, The Netherlands, and the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova, and financed by the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Moldova.
The purpose of this event was to share new methods and techniques of communicating the information to young people, develop planning abilities, organizing and assessing informative and educative events, get acquainted with the concepts and the dimensions of the decent work notion, as well as evaluating the activities conducted in 2013. An important exercise within the training was the developing of an activities plan, which the mobile team will implement in all of the 4 targeted regions of the project: Ungheni, Falesti, Calarasi and Causeni.
Angela Ciocarlan, national coordinator of the project: “The educational method “from equal to equal” has become more and more practical by approaching several subjects and problems of the youth. We offer knowledge in the field of the rights and obligations of the employee in relation to the employer, and we also contribute to the achievement of some behavioral skills, which will be subsequently transferred to their peers from their respective community. Thus, we contribute to the promotion of the “Decent Work” concept.”
The mobile team, consisting of 24 qualified young volunteers – was created with the purpose to promote the social-economic rights of the youth and the existing initiatives in this field.
Sanda Temciuc, Calarasi: “By these periodical meetings, we have the possibility to convince ourselves once again that young people are powerful, that we are capable to change a lot of things, and that it is necessary to be active, full of energy, in order to achieve wonderful results as a team.”
Andrei Gorbenco, Bender: “I have understood that we still need to develop our competences in order to be efficient messengers of information among young people, therefore, we have a lot to learn and I am glad that I got offered this chance.”
Nadejda Petras, Ungheni: “Organizing such events is very welcomed – we have the possibility to exchange experiences, to analyze successful moments and to understand how to overcome difficult moments that emerge during the implementation of activities. Also, it is created a favorable atmosphere for the personal growth of the young people from the mobile teams.”
The members of the mobile team appreciate such trainings and acknowledge the utility of these meetings for the consolidation of their abilities and capacities as trainers of educative activities among young people.
Tatiana Cucu, Falesti: “We will work together within the team in order to implement the plan of activities developed at the beginning of the year. We have worked a lot in order to grow as promoters of the project, as well as for the informing of the people about their right to decent work. We will implement several activities: publish articles in local newspapers, distributing brochures, organizing essays and drawings contests, round tables, etc, through which we will motivate young people to chose the decent way of working.”
